- History of MIDI Packet Master:
-
- Internal
- Release version
- ------- -------
- v1.0 37.00 First version (there will be always a beginning...).
-
- v1.0b 37.10 Samples are converted while receiving. This reduces to
- 1/3 the memory needed for reception.
-
- v1.1 37.20 Sample selected for transmission can be played. Play
- frequency controlled from 'Period' gadget.
-
- 37.21 - Fixed a bug in the allocation of signals.
- - Added possibility of stop the playing of sample.
- - Audio channels are allocated before load of sample.
- - Integer gadget 'Number' renamed as 'Waveform' for
- consistency with the use of Yamaha SY85 synthesizer.
- - Gadget 'Period' renamed as 'Frequency'. This
- gadget controls the playing speed of sample.
- When I can know how works the 'Period' then this
- gadget will recover his old function. Meanwhile
- the period transmitted will be always 31250.
-
- v1.2 37.30 - Now can load IFF 8SVX samples. Implementation is not
- complete but works well while I can get information
- about IFFParse.library.
- - Loop parameters can be loaded from the IFF sample.
-
- 37.31 - Now the key for 'Select' is 'l', not 'e'.
- - Added key for the 'Play' gadget.
- - While the sample is playing it can be stopped with
- the 'Stop' gadget or with the space bar.
- - Added 'FREC' ToolType that controls the default play
- frequency for RAW samples.
-
- 37.32 - Added graphic visualization of sample while playing.
- - Verified in the SY85 that the 'loop end' must be
- 'sample lenght'-1. I suppose that in other MIDI
- equipments this works well too.
-
- 37.33 - Added playing of 'Normal' loops.
- - Fixed a bug in reading playing frequency from
- multi-octave IFF samples.
- - IMPORTANT: program tested in an Amiga 4000/030,
- with no problems, and surely will work well
- in Amiga 4000/040.
- - Graphic display for the sample is now bigger.
- - Added 'MAXFREC' ToolType that sets the maximum
- playing frequency allowed. In OCS/ECS chipset this is
- 28867 Hz but this may change in future models (maybe
- the AGA chips now can play at higher speeds...).
-
- 37.34 - Now the program can play samples longer than
- 128k, though can't play the loop in those samples.
- This is due to audio.device limitations.
